Power Cruise.........

Well better late than never i guess. Heres a few photos from powercruise sydney. Was an awsome weekend and a pretty good krew debue! No really massive damage to report which is sweet and only a few little mech dramas for me and camo ( looms ).

Alex was shredding tires in both practice and demos. Car was looking great and set up pretty well straight out of the box. That all turned to shit saturday morning during the first demos for the day when the turbo seized. Aparently welding up an internal gate is good for the street, not so good for the track.... It stopped so hard it span the lock nut off the shaft and into the filter! After ringing everywhere and asking everyone we knew in the pits he had to pack it up for the weekend and help me and camo. Pretty devistating.

It Was also Camos first run at eastern creek and first time the car had hit the track. He definatly had an awsome weekend finishing in the top five as well as doin full track demos late on friday night! The car never really missed a beat other than slipping the clutch but it still made it through the weekend.

I had a ball, was the first time id really drifted eastern creek properly. Was able to improve a bit over the weekend thanks to following a few of the quicker drivers. I dunno how the blaze unit boys do it. I followed Jabbot for a few laps and i think im still picking rubber out of my eyes! Had a slight off road incident which ended up ripping my front gaurd but its to be expected. Cable tied it back together and that was that.

anyway enough bullshit, heres some pics.........

Cant beat runnin a lambo down the back straight of Eastern Creek!

Had a good time hanging out with the MARVEL boys from Newcastle

Handy pit Kr3w

We were pretty keen leaving for the track at 5:30 every morning!

Cheers guys ( will update if i find some better pics )

Power Cruise damage control

Well due to the car only just getting on the track there were a few little issues after 3 days of thrashing at power cruise:

  1. Wiring rubbed through on drivers side

  2. Wiring rubbed through on passenger side

  3. front tires rubbing on everything with the new kazama arms in

  4. Power steering cooler mounting brackets snapped ( my bad )

  5. Cracked front gaurd and bar - sorry Nath!

I attacked the wireing tonight, decided that i will cut the loom and re rout it through the engine bay. Didnt seem too hard at the time but after labeling al 52 wires im not that keen to start snipping and soldering........

Will get pic's up tomoro of my nightmare.

Quick pic of one of the best s13's ever.............

cheers
