Car Update.................

The car is still in desperate need of a tune, that should be sorted in the next few weeks with the new cams and e85. . The last time it was out i had a heap of binding issues and general problems with steering which would result in the wheel getting stuck on lock and me having to stop and either reverse or roll forward to get the wheel to come around. I think it started after fitting the new drift teks at the front, Put the car on the hoist and grabbed a sledgy and started bashing everywhere it looked like hitting. Have started making some adjustable lock stoppers to help temporarily stop the binding until i get some knuckles. With only Kazama Tie rod ends and S14 Kazama tie rods its got some pretty decent lock now........

Welded up a few cracks in the sump, apparently i didn't do enough. Ripple strips suck....

Fairly thin rear wheel arch now

The tie rod kicked forward onto the lock stopper

My new Streeter.......

Picked up a 180 shell during the week to build up as a bit of a streeter. Had a blown ca in it, bought a new ca last week and swaped the two over. finaly got it running nice thismorning and went for a bit of a drive. Cut springs seemed like a good idea at the time but i will have to track down a set of coilovers for the car in the next few weeks because the car was that bumpy i managed to thread two wheel nuts and shear the other two off which nearly resulted in loosing a wheel. Anyways all this only means a bit more work to do this week!

big thanks to all the boys that lent a hand the last few weekend to get the car runing!

cheers

My build to date......

Im up a little bit early on a saturday morning nursing a slight hangover which is probably the perfect time to do a quick build post. When i picked up the car it had no gaurds, no bonnet no motor or gear box. Basicaly just a rolling 4stud shell. Plus side was that someone had stripped the sound deadening out of the boot and the shell was a clean 93 turbo model.

The car sat in the shed for about a year untouched. i bought a kit and a few bits and pieces, changed it to 5stud and then it sat for another 6 mounths looking like this.

In the next 6 mounths i went nuts. No tafe, working near home ment i had heeps of spare time. I bought a front cut form QLD and had it shipped down to my shed and started moving everything over. Ended up spending way more than i had budgeted for but i couldnt really help it. Heres a few pics befor i painted the car.

I then went and did the last friday night ever held at oran park - drift land. loved it and decided to rub the car back as white front gaurds and kit wast really doin it for me and power cruise was coming up.

I dont have any really good photos of the car at the moment after it got painted but here is what it looks like today.

cheers......
